IMG_3269 (From teamster.org) General Executive Board Appoints Strong Union Leaders Following Recent Retirements

Today, Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa announced the appointment of Rome Aloise and Brad Slawson Sr. to vice presidents on the union’s General Executive Board. The union leaders were chosen by the General Executive Board following the recent retirement of vice presidents Chuck Mack and Cheryl Johnson.

Aloise, who will serve as a Western Region International Vice President, has been a dedicated Teamster for more than 40 years. Aloise is also the President of Joint Council 7 in San Francisco and Secretary-Treasurer of Local 853 in San Leandro, California.

 

IMG_3277Slawson, whose service to the union has also spanned more than four decades, will serve as Central Region International Vice President. In addition to his new position, he will also continue in his current role as Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 120 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“Our union has benefited from the experience and leadership of Rome Aloise and Brad Slawson Sr. for  decades,” Hoffa said. “They have been outstanding Teamster leaders, excelling in every position they have held at both the local and national levels. Their insight and expertise make them excellent additions to our General Executive Board.”
